Hinged Pump Gate®
With application of main shaft on the top of the Hinged Gate (flap gate) and rotating shaft on the structure, linked by cylinder between the upper hinge on the gate leaf and torque shaft on the structure, Hinged Gate will be operated on the track of circular arc by combination of both torque shaft and rotating shaft.
  • Gate leaf will be operated by swing in stead of vertical movement.
  • Hinged gate will be firmly operated by external force.
  • Hinged Gate can be equipped with submersible pump(s).
  • Hinged Gate will be suitable for the place where gate leaf can not be
    opened due to the physical restriction.
    (e.g. gates inside of culvert box, gates inside of parking lot, gates near
    to railway, etc)
  • Hinged Gate will be compatible to the location to consider elimination of
    vertical protrusion. (e.g. downtown area, scenery place)
  • Hinged Gate will reduce the cost by elimination of the connecting bridge
    to access to the gate.(e.g. river, riverside, etc)
  • Hinged Gate will be operated by mechanical type and hydraulic type driver.

Exterior water level < Interior water level

- When exterior water level drops lower than that of interior water, pump gate® will be opened so that gravity flow will discharge in interior water toward outside.

- No structure being required, it is recommended to put in a very populated city area.





Exterior water level > Interior water level

- When exterior water level goes higher than that of interior water, hinged pump gate® will be completely closed so that prevention of exterior water enters into the interior water through gate.

- If interior water level reaches to the pre-determined water level, pump and screen will be automatically operated in order to forcibly discharge interior water toward outside.

- When exterior water level is lower than that of interior water, pump gate® opened so that gravity flow will discharge interior water toward outside.
